You are where you are today because you stand on somebody’s shoulders. And wherever you are heading, you cannot get there by yourself. If you stand on the shoulders of others, you have a reciprocal responsibility to live your life so that others may stand on your shoulders. It’s the quid pro quo of life. We exist temporarily through what we take, but we live forever through what we give.
the novelty of having pets really does never wear off i’ve had my cat for ten years and i still look at him strolling around like can you believe this. a cat. is everyone seeing this. he’s alive he has bones and all. unbelievable
As kid I really enjoyed point and click games. They were super fun but often a bit hard for me so then I would turn to my sisters to help me out, haha. King’s Quest 7 was one we spent a lot of time playing it together, so it’s really nostalgic. Do you have childhood video games that you still remember fondly?

If anyone has been in any doubt about what Anathema was thinking the line that would have made it utterly clear would have been..
…the “two consenting bicycle repairmen”.
In the UK the 1957 Wolfenden Report recommended that ‘homosexual behaviour between consenting adults in private should be no longer a criminal offence’. And the phrase “consenting adults” became a euphemism for gay men once the recommendations of the report were put into action and male homosexual acts were decriminalized. (It took a decade and happened in 1967.)
So, yes. She thinks they’re gay. And she was safe.
2020 has not been a good year. However — however. Time’s arrow marches on, and it brings forth change — often positive. Incremental, yes, but positive nonetheless. Much like the formerly charred lands in the vicinity of Mt. St. Helens are now green and alive with flowers, so will humanity hopefully emerge out of this year a little wiser and kinder… as long as we put in the work of planting the seeds of change.
